Mt. Yunam peak of height 6111m is near baralacha pass on manali leh highway. It is a perfect trekking peak for serious trekkers who want to challenge themselves on such high altitudes and are ready to climb a 6000m mountain.
This peak is on the similar level of Mount stock kangri which is another 6000m plus non trekking peak. By doing this challenging trek you can consider yourself an avid trekker and can opt for more challenging himalayan treks & mountaineering too if you wish to pursue further. The terrain is similar to ladakh and offers a great panoramic view from the top of it.
Day 1: Reach Manali in the morning –Acclimatization walk in the evening. Lodge accommodation.
Day 2: Manali to Jispa (3,500m/11480ft.) – Overnight camping.
Day 3Â Jispa (3,500m/11480ft.)
to Bharatpur (4,500m/14760ft.) Base Camp
Day 4:Â Acclimatization Climb and conditioning in Bharatpur..Â
Day 5 : Today we will set up Summit camp (5300 m) – 4 hours.
Day 6Â : Base camp Acclimatization &Â height to acclimatize in low air pressure.
Day 7 Early morning (by 2.30 am) start ascending Yunam peak (6100 m) – 7/8 hours – summit – descent to Bharatpur camp – 5 hours. Total 12 to 14 hours. Camp.
Day 8: Drive back to Manali – 130 Km via Atal tunnel – 5 hours. Trip ends here.

Trekking gears required for Himalayan trek →
- Trekking shoes : Carry waterproof trekking shoes with good grip and ankle support. Do not carry sports shoes or formal shoes.
- Three layers of warm clothes: Carry two or three-layer jackets, fleece jackets and a padded jacket.
- Backpack (40-50 L) & its rain cover.
- Two trek pants . Denim/jeans and shorts are not suitable for trekking.
- Three t-shirts (collared/dri-fit): Full sleeved t-shirts that prevent sun burns on the neck and arms. Carry one or two dri fit T shirts.
- Cap
- Water proof hand gloves : Carry waterproof glovesThermals: Carry thermals (top and bottom).
- Sunglasses : Sunglasses are mandatory. There will be a lot of snow on the trek and can cause snow blindness. Make sure your sunglasses are UV protected.Â
- Socks (3-4 pairs) and a pair of woollen socks: Apart from two sports socks, you can take a pair of woollen socks for the night.
- Headlamp/LED torch with extra batteries.
- Raincoat / Ponchos
- Carry a few plastic bags in case your clothes get wet.
- Lunch box and water bottle: Every trekker should have their personal lunch box and two water bottles [ 1 insulated type & 1 plastic bottle ]

- Sunscreen above SPF 45 would be recommended.
- Sanitary pads & meftal spas for women.
- Lip guard & moseruiser.
- Tooth brush, tooth paste, toilet paper & sanitiser.
- General medicine for headache,cough,cold etc and antifungal cream.
Trekking munchiesÂ
- Glucose (100g), 2-3 ORS packet, energy bars (6-7), toffees & dry fruits (100g).

Inclusion :
- All camping equipment like sleeping bag, tents, mattress, cooking utensils
- Delicious veg. food ( eggs ) during the trek.
- To & fro transport from manali bus stand ,  permit charges, guest house.
- All technical equipment for climbing like rope, jumar , carabiner, helmet etc.
- 1 night Accommodation in a guesthouse in manali & 1 night in Jispa and overnight camping in entire trek.
- Service of qualified mountaineer (AMC certified ) and support staff.
- Emergency portable oxygen cylinder, pulse oximeter & first aid kit.
Exclusion
Any personal expenses
Food in manali and Jispa and in transit from manali and back.Â
Tip to the support staff
Backpack for mules ( if you want a mule or Porter to carry your bag, we suggest you tell us in advance while making the booking). The extra cost of the rucksack bag (Up to 10 kg weight ) will be INR 2500
Insurance.

Note : In case of any medical emergencies, our team will shift you to nearest medical centre available. However all the expenses will be borne by the participants.
If you opt out during the trek because of any issues or misbehave with fellow participants or staff we will arrange all the logistics to move you safely to the nearest civilization. All the expenses will be borne by the participants.
